Lagardère Travel Retail wins two Moodies 2020 Awards

Lagardère Travel Retail is delighted to have won two Moodie 2020 Awards with « Best Use of Digital to an Internal Audience » and « Best Use of Video Technology »

1/ Best Use of Digital to an Internal Audience : Idea BoosTR Challenge

For the second consecutive year, Lagardère Travel Retail’s Innovation program is being recognised by the Moodies.  We’ve been awarded this year for the Idea BoosTR Challenge, which brought together nearly 400 colleagues in the first cross-country intrapreneurship program. This program enabled colleagues to develop ideas that have the potential to fundamentally transform our industry, and helped them convert these into actionable projects. The challenge was supported by ANYO, an online ideation platform created by a French start-up and which provided a truly phygital experience which started online and ended-up with live tests.
A simple and yet unique approach, disrupting the way big corporations usually define their Innovation roadmaps.

2/ Best Use of Video Technology: extending the Fashion Gallery through Digital at Vienna Airport

Lagardère Travel Retail has built the largest LED airport screen in Europe, to digitally extend its Fashion Gallery store and to offer travelers their very last taste of Vienna before they head back home. The digital wall creates a unique immersive experience for passengers, showing images representing the vibrancy of the culture of Vienna. It gives Fashion brands a very strong visibility, by allowing them to showcase their products, and offers to the airport a very impactful medium, allowing it to broadcast its information and marketing campaigns.

About The Moodies
The Moodie Awards, now in their seventh year, recognise best practices in social, digital media & marketing among the airport and wider travel retail community. The winners were drawn from a shortlist of 142 entries from 23 different categories, generated via a mix of self-nomination or nomination by independent parties. The Moodies cover digital, mobile, social media and marketing activities across airports overall, plus airport retail and food & beverage.
